According to Academic Calendar
- summer examination session takes place from 16.06.2025 to 08.07.2025.
- summer make-up session takes place from 01.09.2025 till 30.09.2025.

The standard credit-earning period for courses in the summer semester will not be subject to prolongation.
Final-semester students are the only ones who can apply for prolongation of the standard credit-earning period.

Juwenalia (Student Festival) of the University of Lodz and the Medical University of Lodz is scheduled to take place on 23-24 May. Various events will be available to students and doctoral students from both partner universities. This year's festival programme includes not only outdoor events and concerts on the premises of the Lumumbowo student housing estate, but also sports attractions, training, tournaments and competitions. Dear Students,
on 07.01.2025, instructions to receive administrative decisions were sent to the emails in the university domain to all students who submitted applications for the Rector's scholarship for the academic year 2024/25. After receiving the electronic decision, an appeal can be submitted within 14 days (Annex No. 5). The exam in a foreign language (curriculum exam) for the 1st year students, who have reached minimum B2 level in the placement test and submitted required documents for an earlier exam date - will be held on 1 February 2025 (Saturday) at Faculty of Physics and Applied Informatics (address: 149/153 Pomorska Street) at 08.00-10.30 (the written part in Great Lecture Hall ( "Duża Aula") / Small Hall (“Mała Aula”) and 11.30-15.30 (the oral part in selected rooms of the faculty).
Please arrive 20 minutes earlier and wait for verification on the basis of your identity card or student identity card, allowing you to enter the premises and sit the exam.
After the written part you will be directed to designated rooms. The oral exam is taken in pairs appointed by examiners.

Due to the low number of Mondays in the winter semester, the Dean has decided that on 07.01.2025 (Tuesday) classes will be held as scheduled on Monday.

As of 1 January 2025, there will be a change in the bank account numbers for education and dormitory fees at University of Lodz. This change is necessary due to the streamlining of financial processes and to ensure greater security of transactions.
From 2025, each student of the University of Lodz will be assigned their own individual account number:
- a separate individual account number for tuition fees (regardless of the number of study programmes and type of studies)
- a separate individual account number for dormitory fees.
How to find a new account for payments – instructions:
New account numbers will be published on 1 January 2025 in USOSWeb:
- Log in to your USOSWeb account
- Go to the tab "COMMON SECTION" and then "PAYMENTS".
If you use the "standing orders" or "direct debits" options, be sure to update the account number in your electronic banking as of 1 January 2025.

Due to National Education Day, the Rector of University of Lodz has announced that on 14th of October (Monday), 2024 there are Rector's Hours from 1:30 PM for all students, PhD students and academics.

Applications for the Rector's scholarship for the academic year 2024/2025 can be submitted between 7 and 17 October.
In order to apply for the Rector's scholarship, simply log in to the USOSweb platform and register, thanks to which an appropriate document will be generated.
The printed and signed application should be delivered to the relevant Dean's Office at your faculty.
The scholarships are intended for all students at the University of Lodz, except for first-year students and international students who came to the University of Lodz from another university (e.g. as part of the Erasmus programme).

Meeting is scheduled for 2.10.2024 (Wednesday) at 12:00 PM in the auditorium (Aula) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of University of Lodz.

Did you know that having your name on the student list alone does not guarantee the status of student? In order to become a full member of our academic community and fully enjoy student privileges, be sure to complete very important formalities between 1 and 10 October.
To fully enjoy student privileges, you should take the following actions:
- log in to your USOSWeb account
- accept the statement of familiarisation with and obedience to the rules of payment for educational services provided at the University of Lodz for full-time / part-time / paid full-time studies in a foreign language
- accept the confirmation of taking the oath (NOTE: the oaths are separate for each study programme for which documents were submitted).
If you do not accept both of these declarations by the specified deadline (10 October), your entry on the student list will be cancelled!

According to Academic Calendar didactic classes in the summer semester start on 3 October 2024 and last until 2 February 2024.
The collective class schedule is published at Class Schedule website
Individual class schedules are available on USOSWeb platform.
Students are asked to check the schedule before each class due to changes that may occur for reasons unrelated to the faculty.
Students are asked to verify that all courses from the study program are included in the individual class schedule in USOSweb.
On 07.01.2025 (Tuesday) classes will be held as scheduled on Monday.
Token registration for Physical Education classes in the winter semester 2024/2025
starts on the 24th September 2024 at 9.00 AM
and finishes on the 13th October 2024 at midnight.
PE classes start on the 3rd October 2024 although the registration will be open longer.
Students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science should choose PE classes on Thursdays from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM, as there are no other classes scheduled during this time.

The deadline to complete all courses from the summer semester is 29.09.2024.
Students who have passed all courses and examinations from the summer semester of the academic year 2023/2024 (grades are already in the USOS system) are requested to notify the relevant office (A210 or A211) by email or in person.
Upon receiving such information, the Student Office will be able to credit the summer semester of the academic year 2023/2024 promptly.
No grades in USOS or/and some courses are failed

Student is obliged to enrol for Electives, Degree Projects and Team Project during electronic registration in the USOS system.
If the student has not registered electronically, the student must contact us by e-mail or in person.
Repeated courses enrolment is possible until the first 2 weeks of the semester.
From the 3rd week of the semester, the student must obtain the consent of the teacher to be added to the group.
Group change only in justified cases is possible until the first 2 weeks of the semester.
From the 3rd week of the semester onwards, the student must obtain the teacher's permission to join a new group and the teacher's permission to leave the current group.

Instructions for receipt of administrative decisions will be sent to all students who have applied for the rector's scholarship to their email inboxes in the university domain. After receiving the electronic decision within 14 working days, it will be possible to submit an appeal by delivering it in person to theCOSSiS SiD UŁ office at 1 Lumumby Street or by a Post Office mail.

Dear Students,
on 07.01.2025, instructions to receive administrative decisions were sent to the emails in the university domain to all students who submitted applications for the Rector's scholarship for the academic year 2024/25. After receiving the electronic decision, an appeal can be submitted within 14 days (Annex No. 5). The Annex no 5 should be delivered to the COSSiS SiD office at Lumumby Street 1 or can be sent by post to the same address.
